During the holidays it’s always nice to have small gifts already prepared for your knitting and crochet friends. Throughout the year I save candy tins, and I ask my friends to save them for me too The fun thing is you can customize these tins, and decorate the outside to match the personality of the recipient.
Things you will need to crochet mini Christmas Ornaments:
Pattern for mini ornaments to cover your tin:
Start: Chain 4, slip stitch together to form a ring, chain 3.
Round 1: Double crochet into the ring, until you have 14 double crochets. Join with a slip stitch. (No need to weave in the ends since you will be gluing to the outside of the tin)
Make 12 mini ornaments, with various colors of crochet thread.
Things you will need to decorate the outside of the tin:
- A variety of glues, and adhesives
- Sequins, embellishments, rhinestones
Use your creativity and let your imagination run wild. Make a bunch of these to give as gifts, or to take to your local church craft fair. The possibilities are endless!
