Several scenes of the movie Courageous (in theaters now) were filmed at our very own mill in Albany, GA. Workers at the factory served as extras, and plant manager Bobby Boone, appeared in the film. One of the main characters in the film, Javier, plays an employee at Coats & Clark and is faced with an ethical challenge that puts him to the test. The mill offices and part of the manufacturing area are shown prominently in the film.
Welcome to Week 3 of the Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge. It’s show time and this week I’m on the road at the Stitches East event in Hartford, CT. I’ll be busy setting up our booth with the rest of the Red Heart Team, but I always have a project with me for those rare down moments. I was thinking I would be too tired to crochet tonight, but I have my second wind … “me” time. I’ll join the other stitchers in the lounge while we all work on our projects. Everyone is enjoying the pictures of your Dusty Snowflake Throws. You’re all doing a wonderful job. Some of you already have it completed…you know who you are. Bravo to you! They are beautiful! How many of you decided to use different colors from the pattern? I chose to use different colors. Having a house full of men, they rather liked this combination. Now I can’t wait to see how it comes out myself. Here’s a picture of the first few motifs… I’ll share more as we go along each week.
Tell us about your progress and share with us pictures of your progress each week on Red Heart’s Facebook page.

Luckily I had a pattern, the Prairie Wrap with me in my purse, I was planning on knitting it out of the called-for Washable Ewe. I pulled the pattern out and started to figure out what I needed to change to make the pattern work with Treasure. Continue reading “Prairie Wrap Reworked!”
