It’s Knit Along Wednesday! How is everyone doing on their Simple Spring Swing Cardigan? Some of you might have the three main pieces completed. If you do, you’ll be ready to sew the pieces together, add the sleeves and front bands. I had to put mine aside for a few days, so I’m working on the right front today. Just keep working at your own pace. It’s going to be another week before I can get mine finished. Continue reading “Knit Along Spring Swing Cardigan Week 3” →
We love our Red Heart gnome, Gnorbert. It’s been fun to take him places and spread our Red Heart love with others. Like all of us, we need a vacation periodically to recharge and so does Gnorbert. He’s been so busy on his adventures with the Red Heart family over the past few months; he’s taking a short vacation at my house, re-energizing and relaxing in my garden. Knitting and crocheting in public is a great way for people to come together, share ideas and make new friends. There are so many ways groups can come together and use this to beautify an unsightly area or work together on projects for the less fortunate. Make hats & scarves for the homeless, stuffed animals and blankets for needy children, blankets and wraps for senior centers, baby items for hospital … and let’s not forget all those in the Midwest who have recently suffered from the horrific storms. Most shelters, hospital and senior center are more than glad to accept your donations. Maybe you would like to add some color to your yard. I did that last year with a chair ready to go to the dump. I’ve recycled it in my garden, using the seat to place potted herbs and added some crochet flowers. I left them there throughout the summer and then removed them. Select any color and for those more advanced stitchers, get creative and use a couple of colors. Whatever you select, we are looking forward to your joining our group and hearing about your progress.
