A while back I had the joy of letting my littles help me with some designs for Red Heart. The first of those designs was a pompom bookmark made with Red Heart Super Saver, which Kyla helped me create.
I took many photos. Maybe a bit too many.
So here is Kyla, guiding you and your littles through creating your own pompom bookmark. Please refer back to the pattern for all the details needed. Continue reading “Kids Craft Pompom Bookmark by Guest Blogger Jessie”
From Guest Blogger, Mikey from the Crochet Crowd:
I’m at it again with another amazing afghan project. I’ve been digging through the Red Heart patterns to locate a perfect project for the summer long crochet challenge. In reviewing his inbox of ‘wish list requests’ from fans, he realized that people really want to explore stitches so they may learn and grow.
I’ve located an afghan that explores 10 different stitches. These are stitches that you can learn and use on future projects. I will have the patterns and videos ready for you. Continue reading “Join Mikey’s Pact: Summer Stitch-cation”

Where have you traveled with your Red Heart Yarn? We want to see pictures of the places you’ve visited with your Red Heart Yarn or a knit or crocheted item! Our pictures are photoshopped, but we want to see your REAL pictures! Take a picture in your local public spaces, like a restaurant, library, park, or playground. Or take your Red Heart Yarn on vacation!
You can submit a new picture each month, from April 29 through October 31, 2014. Each photo must show a ball of Red Heart yarn (any Red Heart yarn!) with the logo visible OR make the heart shape with your hands with your knit and crochet item visible in the picture. (See the images in this post for reference.)
We’ll choose 3 winners each month to receive a prize package with a retail value of $50!
Judges from Red Heart will select two of the monthly winners to be the Grand Prize winners. Grand Prize Winners will receive a prize package valued at $150 of Red Heart Yarns of their choice, plus $500!
No matter where you go — the Grand Canyon, the Eiffel Tower, or closer to home — you’ll have a chance to win!
