Gnora was the new gnome in town. Wanting to see the sites and have some fun, she decided to check out the Stitches show in town. Being a crafty gnome, she wanted to see all the beautiful colors and textures of yarn. As she is looking at all the new Red Heart yarns, she looks across the booth and just stopped … and then she spotted him, Gnorbert, standing there in all his glory, eye’s fixed on each other. Gnora couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. Continue reading “Gnorbert & Gnora’s Wedding”
Every once in a while there is a pattern that I think everyone will want to know about, and this is one of those patterns. Here’s a throw design that any kid (or adult) action-hero aficionado can get excited about! Spider Web Throw was designed by Ellen Gormley, a mother herself with young children, and so it comes naturally that she does great kids’ designs. Here is the link to the free Spider Web Throw pattern. Continue reading “Calling all action-hero lovers!”
Another season for the WNSC has come and gone. We have tallied your likes and have 5 winners to announce. We have really enjoyed all of the wonderful projects you created for the Wednesday Night Stitching Challege! I’ll be looking forward to our next season and thinking about what I want to work on, but no starting until then. Maybe I’ll take a look at my *to-do* list and use a couple of those ideas to work on. Have you thought about what you might do for Knit and Crochet in Public? Grab a few friends, your knitting or crochet, a chair and enjoy a day in the park talking and sharing your work. Knitting and crocheting in public is a great way for people to come together, share ideas and make new friends. There are so many ways groups can come together and use this to beautify an unsightly area or work together on projects for the less fortunate. Make hats & scarves for the homeless, stuffed animals and blankets for needy children, blankets and wraps for senior centers, baby items for hospital … and let’s not forget all those who have recently suffered from all the tornadoes and storms. Most shelters, hospital and senior center are more than glad to accept your donations. Continue reading “World Wide Knit and Crochet in Public”

Can you believe it’s been 10 weeks since we’ve begun the 3rd season of the WNSC? Time always seems to fly by so quickly, just as these Wednesday nights have. I can say that I was able to complete several things along the way … 2 UFO’s (unfinished objects) and then I made several new things. These Wednesdays together have given me that extra motivation to get things done. I hope you have enjoyed this time as much as I have. I look forward to seeing all of you next season.
