April is Baby Month

Babies are so cuddly, soft and sweet. I love babies and really enjoy crochet and knitting for them. Having 2 sons, 6 grand-kids (one of them a great-grandson), great nieces, great nephews, all those friends kids, and their kids and their kids, I feel like I have a good bit of experience with babies. My youngest is 9 months old and it's so enjoyable making cute little hats and sweaters for him. And let's not forget the blankets and toys. Baby items generally tend to be small, so many work up quickly. There are a few things I feel are important when knitting or crocheting for babies. Yarn selection is very important! Baby's skin is very sensitive so you are looking for something very soft. Babies can be very messy and need to be changed frequently so you will also want something that is machine washable, dryable and durable.
