Project Planning for 2017

Now that the holiday rush is behind us, I’m starting to think about what projects I’d like to make in this year. Planning projects is always fun, and while I may not stick to all of these ideas, it sure helps to have a starting point when I’m ready to buy yarn.

Introducing Red Heart Strata Yarn

Strata is a jersey knit tube featuring fine fibers knitted into a tube around a soft core. Similar to a traditional T-shirt yarn but the tube structure means the yarn won’t fray along the edges, giving it great stitch definition. Summertime Tassel Sandals

Tassels are everywhere this summer! I’ve seen them on bags, shirts, key fobs and blankets. One idea has caught my eye more than once, tasseled sandals! I found some cute, strappy sandals and decided to give them a boho chic makeover.

To give you more options, I’ve made two versions, one using Aunt Lydia’s Fashion 3 crochet thread, and one in Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 crochet thread.
