Do you know any tennis players who are expecting? Want to surprise them with a tennis “set”? Well keep reading for some super cuteness. My good friends are both avid tennis players so I thought making them some tennis items for their new addition would make for some super fun newborn photos! ;) Continue reading “Cro-Shayley makes a Newborn Tennis “Set””
What’s your little one going to dress up as for Halloween? If you haven’t decided, maybe this pattern will help seal the deal. ;) My son is crawling all over the place, pulling himself up and occasionally taking a few steps. I thought how cute it would be to crochet him some pants and stitch a monster face on his bottom using Red Heart Reflective yarn. Yall know I love this yarn and infant pants with designs on the bottom are super cute so I just had to try this! Watch what happens when you take a flash photo. ;) Continue reading “Cro-Shayley makes Baby Halloween Monster Pants”
Are you in need of a cover for your laptop, tablet or a similar sized electronic device? I use my laptop quite often, taking it from room to room in my house, using it in the kitchen while cooking, in the living room while crocheting and in my bedroom catching up on emails, paying bills and browsing the web. I decided, since I take full advantage of it’s “wireless” mobility then I should probably make a cover for it (for its safety from my almost-walking 1 year old). ;) Continue reading “Cro-Shayley makes a Laptop Cozy”
Any little “Turtle Power” fans out there? Oh man, do I have the perfect pattern for you! My nephews love the super turtle heros so I thought I’d try making them a mask using 2 patterns from RedHeart.com. This would be a cute inexpensive Halloween costume especially if you already had the colors you wanted in your yarn stash. ;) Continue reading “Cro-Shayley makes a Turtle Power Mask”
Ready for football season?!?!?! Wow, can you believe it’s here? Tons of Red Heart free patterns can easily be turned into sporty themes with just the change of a color, an added applique or an embroider here and there…just use your imagination!
As I was reading through Bobbie Matela’s, Back to School with Team Spirit blog post, I added a few of the free patterns to My Favorites. The following day I was perusing through the fun stuff at Goodwill and I came across a $2 seat cushion and remembered the Crochet Stadium Seat Cover free pattern I saved so I purchased it. My husband and I became good friends with some Ole Miss fans so I thought it would be nice to make them a seat cover to take to some football games. Sorry Mississippi State and LSU fans…don’t hate me! ;)

Do you know a sweet little girl that a flower headband would just look adorable on? What about a pair of dress-up booties? Ohhh do I have the perfect patterns for you! Using Red Heart Soft Baby Steps, I made this set for my new friend, Macie, who was born recently to some dear friends of mine!
One of my best friends came to visit me recently and as we were watching tv a few hours before she had to go to the airport to fly back home, I asked her if she would like to learn how to crochet. Excitedly she said yes and wanted to make something blue. Continue reading “Cro-Shayley teaches a Friend to Crochet”
Need a big BEAR hug??? Oh man, do I have the perfect, snuggly pattern for you! I had a few skeins of Red Heart Snuggle Bunny in my yarn stash and I was dying to use it to create something soft for my new friend, Weston. Snuggle Bunny is similar to Red Heart Baby Clouds which was the yarn used to create the “oldie-but-oh-so-goodie” Merry-Go-Round Teddy Bear so I thought I’d try it. This finished teddy bear is big and I LOVE IT! Standing approximately 21” tall, longer than some newborns. :)
