Cro-Shayley makes a Baby Elephant Hat

A friend in the neighborhood wanted to surprise her 6 month old granddaughter with an elephant hat. Maren is her name…how cute is that…and she loves elephants. She even has an elephant paci holder that clips to her shirt. So this hat matching the paci clip will be perfect!

My friend asked for the hat to be light pink, the ears to be light pink with white on the inside and a little pink bow attached to one Sock Monkey Hatof the sides of the ears. I was trying to think how I would do this so to begin I made just the hat from Red Heart’s Sock Monkey Hat pattern. Click here for the full pattern directions.

Thank you for this pattern. I was making an elephant hat for my 6 year old and ran into a problem with how to do the ears. This was such a help!
