Has the cool Fall weather arrived in your neck of the woods? Are you someone who likes to work out outdoors and likes to take evening runs, walks and bike rides? Keep those ears warm while doing so and make Red Heart’s Blissful Ear Warmers using Red Heart Reflective yarn (MY FAVORITE). Reflective thread is wrapped around the yarn making it reflect light, aiding in nighttime visibility and helping protect you at night.
This pattern is super quick and easy. I made this project in less than an hour for my friend who lives down the street. She’s an avid runner and was in need of something to keep her ears warm while she works out in the evenings.
To begin the ear warmers (click here for more details on the pattern):
Row 1 (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and each ch across, turn—10 dc.
Rows 2–26: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in each dc across, turn.
With wrong sides of Rows 1 and 26 held together and working through both thicknesses, ch 1, sc in each dc—10 sc. Fasten off.
The pattern has a “Finishing” trim but I decided to leave that off.
See what happens when light reflects off the yarn. So awesome! :)
