Have you seen the stylish poufs in home decor stores and have been dying to make one instead of paying $120-$150 for one? Well waste no more time! Red Heart has a Stylish Pouf pattern just waiting for you to begin! A friend asked me to make a pouf for her baby's nursery. She wanted the pouf to be light grey and I just so happened to have 9 skeins of Super Saver Light Grey that I was going to use for a throw project but decided this would be more fun! Red Heart's Stylish Pouf pattern uses Grande which is a Jumbo Size 7 yarn. I knew if I was going to use the Super Saver stash that I had then I was going to have to use 3 strands of Super Saver. And so I began... using my size 10mm/US N crochet hook and 3 strands of Super Saver I completed the top and bottom panels... The panels measured about 17.5" in diameter. After finishing the top panel, don't fasten off because then you'll start the side panel. Find your stuffing/bean bag. (I purchased this one at Walmart). Insert the bean bag inside the pouf: Find your bottom panel: To close pouf, working through front loops only of bottom and side panels, slip st in each st around. Then fasten off. Flatten top and bottom panels and weave in the ends: With the modifications I made using 3 strands of Super Saver instead of 1 strand of Grande the pouf ended up measuring:25.5" diameter74" circumference22" height I'm so thrilled with the way this pouf turned out. This was my first ""big"" project and I can't wait to make more. Here is a picture of the pouf in the nursery. How cute!
