Welcome to the March Doily of the Month! Each month in 2016 we will share a new doily pattern for you to make in Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread. We challenged the top doily designers to create innovate designs that coordinate with the feeling of each month. Plus, every month we will select five winners to receive an Aunt Lydia’s prize pack.
For March, we have the Coventry Doily. It’s a complex pattern that works well as a centerpiece on your table, or place it in a frame with a contrasting background to display on your wall.

What was your reaction when you saw the recent news about the beautiful thread crochet wedding dress made by Chi Kmeta? What about when you see examples of vintage crochet blankets made entirely with thread? A common reaction among crocheters goes something like, “that’s beautiful and amazing … and I could never do it”.
You might have seen Chi Krneta on the news recently: she crocheted her own beautiful wedding dress! Even better, she did it using our Aunt Lydia’s Classic Crochet Thread Size 10.

Aunt Lydia’s Baker’s Cotton is a new twist on an old favorite, this super soft 100% cotton thread is fun to stitch with and you’ll love the colorful results. Great for anything you’d use a traditional crochet thread for, but with the added punch of color twisted with white to give you a fabulous new look. It is also great for crafting.
The great thing about knitting or crocheting a collar is that you can have a completely new look, but only have to make the collar! I’m sure you’ve noticed all the little collars popping up on fashion runways and fashion magazines. But have you noticed that we have collar patterns that make it easy to create your collar in the color that is best for you. Nice thing about collars is that they are detachable. Of course, you can stitch them on, but it’s nice to think of them as an alternative to the usual necklace. We’ve used cotton Aunt Lydia’s threads, so they are certainly wearable any season of the year. Put together a fresh look using tops or t-shirts already in your closet. And share them on our Aunt Lydia’s Facebook page.
Red Heart is excited to be expanding its products and free patterns into crochet thread. Our goal is to continue to bring innovative products, fashion-forward colors, and project inspiration to our customers!
