Fifteen Shades of Grey Patterns

The color grey was not picked as the “color of the year”, but I think it has surpassed all other colors in the past two years. For instance, it has a book deal, movie deal and most importantly plenty of free patterns on RedHeart.com. I wanted to bring a few together so you could enjoy the beauty of this color and the wide variety of yarns that feature this alluring color. There is something in this list for almost any adult. Whether you need an accessory, garment or something for your home, we have it here. We should embrace the color because it is not going anywhere anytime soon. Enjoy!

I love these patterns. Great job! I crochet pretty well, but I can’t knit. Do you know of a crochet pattern similar to Claire’s Romantic Capelet? I think it is adorable. Thanks for putting these together.

Hi Kim, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately we do not have any in a thick yarn such as Grande. The closest crochet capelet we have is the Exquisite Tied Capelet in Boutique Swanky.

I think LW2917 The Renaissance Capelet is a much closer match. Using double strands of RHSS in Grey Heather in a J or 3 strands L-N Hooks would give it the weight as well has the “Romantic” look to it.

Wow! The two-toned cabled sweater looks fabulous! Thank you; I hope I can do it one day!
