Do you remember the fabulous Queen Bee exhibit at Vogue Knitting Live? The same artist, Gina Rose Gallina, is going to install a giant pineapple in a new hotel in Chicago next month!
The giant pineapple will be unveiled on March 4 at the new The Alise Chicago hotel. The pineapple is the logo of the STAYPINEAPPLE hotel chain and is a symbol of hospitality, so it’s the perfect piece to open a new hotel.
The Queen Bee crochet sculpture is at the hotel temporarily, so if you’re in Chicago and you missed it at the Vogue Knitting Live event you can take a look at it in person.
Gina Rose Gallina, the artist, will be teaching crochet classes at The Alise Chicago hotel from March 5 through March 9. Crochet class participants will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $250 Red Heart prize pack, and the first 75 attendees will get a door prize.
