Knitted Skirts

I've noticed a trend with knit & crochet skirts this season. They are on the runways and in the stores. And you can create one with a few simple stitches and/or techniques.

Have you ever considered knitting a skirt? They can be knit in the round, in panels or in sections, just like a knit sweater. And if you think about it, it's no more difficult that creating a garment. They aren't as scary as you may think. With all the great colors and textured yarns to play with, they are perfect for any wardrobe whether it's for work, shopping or a night out. With colder weather here, you have to think about layering a perfect pairing would be tights with tall boots, leggings and a cute bouncy skirt.

Because the colors in the yarn stack so beautifully, simple stockinette is all you need to create something special. Horizontal bands appear in the center front panel, while vertical bands complete the side and back panels. little crochet accent adds the final polish.
