The Joy of Being a Joy Creator!

When I learned how to crochet over 16 years ago, I thought I’d found a new favorite hobby. And though in the busyness of young motherhood I would sometimes put down the hook for a little while, I always picked it back up again, finding joy and peace inside the stitches.

When I started Moogly over 6 years ago, when my youngest went off to preschool, I thought I’d connect with other crocheters, have a creative outlet, and maybe make a little grocery money for my family.

And when Red Heart came to me last year and proposed we work together starting in 2018, I knew that crochet had led me to things I had never even hoped to dream of!

For those that have been following my career for the last little while (and oh my gosh, thank you!), you may have noticed that I’ve worked with other brands in the past. I have nothing but good things to say about any of those companies – just to keep the record straight.

In fact, Red Heart was the very first yarn company I worked with! One of my most popular patterns of all time, the Artfully Simple Infinity Scarf, was designed using Red Heart Unforgettable.

And Unforgettable was one of the first yarns I returned to this year, with the Lavender Kisses Cowl.

So I’m excited to officially announce that Moogly has partnered with Red Heart for 2018 (and a bit beyond)! On Moogly this year you’ll find tons of new patterns featuring Red Heart yarns, as well as monthly giveaways, video tutorials, our new video yarn reviews, and all the other good stuff you’ve come to love.

And I’m loving trying all the new (and new-to-me) Red Heart yarns – Scrubby Smoothie is already a new favorite! And Chic Sheep by Marly Bird is the yarn I feel like I’ve been waiting for my whole life – a super soft (and affordable!) worsted weight merino in bunches of colors? Yes, please!

Red Heart has so many exciting new yarns in stock – and on the way – that I’m thrilled to count myself among the official Red Heart Joy Creators! I hope you’ll visit Moogly and check out the fun we’re having there with Red Heart yarns and more!
