Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge Season 6, Week 6

Welcome back to the Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge! This week I’m making the Twisted Cowl in Medley. I love to wear scarves and cowls in the winter months, since they dress up an outfit and keep me warm in our cold office.

Twisted CowlThis cowl is a great choice for a project since it has a pretty simple pattern and bulky yarn. Plus, the texture of Medley means if you make a small mistake no one will be able to tell.

This cowl starts with a first round that is slightly different from the way most starting rounds are worked. Instead of going straight into each chain like you normally would, you’ll be working into the back bar of the chain. This allows the starting edge of the cowl to better match the final edge of the cowl.

I love all of the colors that Medley comes in, but my favorite is Stained Glass.
