Welcome to Week 3 of the Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge. It’s show time and this week I’m on the road at the Stitches East event in Hartford, CT. I’ll be busy setting up our booth with the rest of the Red Heart Team, but I always have a project with me for those rare down moments. I was thinking I would be too tired to crochet tonight, but I have my second wind … “me” time. I’ll join the other stitchers in the lounge while we all work on our projects.
Recently, a close friend talked with me about her beginning cancer treament. She’s worried about loosing her hair and how she will look, so I’m going to make a couple of sassy, colorful hats for her. They travel well and don’t take up a lot of space in my bag. I’m going to start with the Crochet Slouchy Beret using Red Heart Boutique Magical yarn. Lot’s a great texture and color. Who wouldn’t feel pretty in a hat with all those dreamy colors?
Join me for Red Heart’s Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge and share your creations. Tell us what you are working on tonight, and what you are watching on TV, or music you are listening to. Let’s see how creative everyone can be. Don’t forget to mention Wednesday Night Stitching Challege Season 2 when posting your picures on our Facebook page. What’s on your hooks and needles tonight?
