Have you thought about what you might do for Knit and Crochet in Public? Grab a few friends, your knitting or crochet, a chair and enjoy a day in the park talking and sharing your work. Knitting and crocheting in public is a great way for people to come together, share ideas and make new friends. There are so many ways groups can come together and use this to beautify an unsightly area or work together on projects for the less fortunate.
Over the years there have been local events in Australia, China, England, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, United States and so many more countries. WWKiP Day is really about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity in a very distinct way.
World Wide Knit and Crochet in Public is being celebrated June 8-16, 2013. Check out the World Wide Knit in Public website for more information, or check out World Wide Knit in Public on Facebook. Whether you decide to work on something for yourself or others, it’s a fun day of stitching with friends.
